A man with 1,100 bees attached to his body has been detained at the Sarpi checkpoint on the Georgian-Turkish border.
Report informs, citing Georgian media, that Turkish border guards noticed something suspicious as the man passed through an x-ray scanner and a metal detector. It turned out that he was wearing a belt with small boxes containing bees inside.
The man was detained by Turkish customs while crossing the border. He was traveling from Georgia to Turkiye. The bees were placed in small wooden boxes tied to the man's body.
Moreover, 100 kilograms of chestnut honey hidden in a container in the fuel tank were found in the man's vehicle.
