Magnitude 5.5 quake recorded in Iran

An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 has occurred in the southeastern region of Iran, Report informs referring to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

The epicenter of the tremors was located 50 km northwest of the city of Fanuj with a population of about 13,000 people. The outbreak lay at a depth of 10 km.

There were no reports of casualties or damage.
