Macron offers to finance Iranian oil purchase

French President Emmanuel Macron has offered to allocate a credit line in the amount of $15bn for prepurchase of Iranian oil as a prerequisite for Tehran to resume its nuclear deal commitments, vice speaker of Iranian parliament Ali Motahari said.

Report informs citing Interfax that he said the amount will be paid in three stages. The vice speaker added that in exchange the French president offered Iran not to launch the third stage of reducing JPOA commitments on the resolution of Iranian nuclear program and probably refuse the already implemented first stage of departure from commitments.

Notably, ensuring conditions for continued oil export is among the main provisions set forward by Iran to resume implementation of the JPOA regulation to full.
