Leaders of OTS countries to mull important regional issues in Kazakhstan

On November 3, Astana will host the 10th anniversary summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), during which the leaders of these countries will exchange views on political and economic events in the region and beyond, Report informs referring to the OTS press service.

The summit will be held under the slogan “Turkic Century” and will become an important platform for discussing the broad agenda of the organization at the highest level.

“The leaders will make decisions on the most important issues, conclude agreements and approve official documents relating to OTS projects in such areas as the economy, trade, transport and customs,” the press service noted.

Following the summit, the chairmanship of the OTS will pass from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan. The heads of state will sign the Astana Act and the Declaration of the Astana Summit, as well as a number of relevant resolutions.

Last year, the OTS summit was held in Samarkand (Uzbekistan).
