Lavrov to leave for Armenia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will arrive in Yerevan on Wednesday, where meetings with the Armenian leadership are scheduled for May 6.

Report informs citing TASS that later, on May 10-11, the Russian Foreign Minister will also pay a working visit to Azerbaijan.

According to the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during the contacts, it is planned to "thoroughly consider a wide range of bilateral and regional cooperation issues, as well as interaction in the international arena." But the priority topic of the talks will be the implementation of the existing agreements on Karabakh. "Priority attention will be paid to the practical aspects of implementing the statements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia of November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021, on Karabakh," Zakharova said.
