Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during a telephone conversation held the day before, emphasized the importance of consolidating the prerequisites for starting negotiations to agree on a path to peace in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday, Report informs via Russian media.
"A productive exchange of views continued on key aspects of the Russian-American political dialogue, which has significantly intensified recently. The main focus was on the Ukrainian crisis," the ministry said.
The ministry noted that some other international issues were also discussed.
"It was agreed to continue contacts at all levels," the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
