Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia will definitely hold presidential elections, Report informs via TASS.
"They haven’t been called yet, but they are approaching, and they will take place in any event. That’s our assumption," he said.
When asked when the elections will be announced, the spokesman said, "It’s not the Kremlin that announces elections."
Peskov also commented on the bill that seeks to amend legislation on presidential elections, which is being considered by the State Duma.
"Of course, certain special situation, including in our new regions, requires additional legislative initiatives and solutions. This is essentially what is happening."
