Kremlin says West imposed nearly 20,000 on Russian economy

The collective West has imposed around 20,000 sanctions targeting Russia's economy, according to Alexander Pankin, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation.

According to Report, which cites TASS, speaking at a roundtable in the Federation Council, Pankin emphasized that these measures cannot be legitimately called "sanctions" as they are unilateral restrictive actions, not endorsed by the UN Security Council.

Pankin asserted that the relentless imposition of sanctions by the United States and the European Union is aimed at weakening and crippling Russia.
