Kobakhidze: Timing of EU membership negotiations not crucial for Georgia

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated at a briefing that the timing of starting negotiations on EU membership is not a priority for the Georgian authorities, Report informs via Georgian media.

Kobakhidze emphasized that the specific date for beginning negotiations with the EU is “not important for us.”

He recalled that in June 2022, Georgia was not granted candidate status for EU membership, which was only achieved a year later.
