Kazakhstan sees decrease in number of arriving Russians

The number of people entering Kazakhstan from Russia has decreased, said Kazakh Interior Minister Marat Akhmetzhanov, Report informs citing the Kazakh media.

"The number of people arriving from Russia is less than the number of those leaving. Some 8,000-9,000 Russians arrive a day, 10,000-11,000 citizens of the Russian Federation leave," Akhmetzhanov told reporters.

Since the beginning of partial mobilization in Russia, the flow of Russians arriving in Kazakhstan has increased. From September 21 to October 4, more than 200,000 Russian citizens entered the republic, and 147,000 people left, Interfax reports.
