Kazakhstan’s President unveils data of extraordinary elections

The extraordinary presidential elections in Kazakhstan will be held on June 9.

Report informs citing the Interfax that the due statement came by the acting head of the republic, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

"According to the Constitution, I made a decision to hold extraordinary elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on June 9," said Tokayev in a televised address.

"There should be stability in domestic and foreign policy. We should implement the programs proposed by Nursultan Nazarbayev in a timely manner. Kazakhstan is a democratic state, the president is elected by the people. I, as president, guarantee free and fair elections," the head of state said.
