Kalin: Europe must take measures to protect Koran

European countries need to take measures to prevent new actions to desecrate the Koran, and not hide behind freedom of speech to justify their inaction, Ibrahim Kalin, official representative of the Turkish president, said on 24 TV on January 28, Report informs referring to TASS.

“Freedom of speech cannot be used as an excuse to justify this shame, silence, as well as to insult, humiliate, scold and attack sacred values. Europe must take measures to prevent such attacks,” Kalin said.

In turn, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu called the policy of double standards the position that Sweden and Denmark have taken on the issue of ‘racist and vile’ actions carried out on their territory.
