Japarov: Kyrgyzstan making efforts to resolve disputes on Tajikistan border peacefully

Kyrgyzstan continues to make efforts to resolve disputes on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border peacefully, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov stated in his live address to the people, Report informs via Sputnik-Kyrgyzstan.

“We continue to make efforts to resolve disputes on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border only by peaceful means,” the president noted.

Japarov said that at the moment, the skirmish in the border zone has stopped, but various provocative statements continue to be published on the internet.

“It must be remembered that rumors aimed at distorting public opinion have a specific goal - to cool the relations of our friendly people with other countries cooperating with us,” he said, emphasizing that at present, all state bodies are working in an enhanced mode.

As a result of clashes on the border, 59 people were killed on the Kyrgyz side. The country is in mourning today.
