Iranian parliament starts considering candidates in Raisi government

The Iranian parliament has begun considering a list of candidates for ministerial posts in the government of the newly elected President Ebrahim Raisi to express a vote of confidence in him, Report informs referring to Tasnim news agency.

At the beginning of the parliamentary session, Chairman of the Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf read out a list of proposed candidates for ministerial posts.

Raisi won the elections in Iran on June 18, gaining 17.9 million votes (about 62 percent) with a turnout of 48.8 percent. On August 5, the inauguration ceremony of the president took place.
