Iranian military conducts exercises with over 150 drones

Two-day exercises began in Iran on August 24, in which the military involved more than 150 drones of various types, Report informs citing Interfax.

UAVs from the Iranian ground forces, navy, air force and air defense units were involved in the maneuvers. On the first day of the exercise, reconnaissance drones patrolled the country's borders and identified a number of targets.

Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi, spokesman for the exercise, said drones such as Yasir, Sadeq, Pelican, Ababil-3, Yazdan and Mohajer-6 were operating along the country's borders and over international waters.

In turn, Tasnim notes that the entire territory of Iran has been included into the area of exercises.

During the maneuvers, the military will test the effectiveness of the weapons of the drones, the flight range of the UAVs and their control systems.
