Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Hossein Abdollahian has denied allegations of deliveries of drones to Russia, Report informs referring to TASS.
He made such a statement at a press conference in Tokyo, where he is scheduled to hold talks with his Japanese counterpart Yoshimasa Hayashi.
“[During] the conflict in Ukraine, we never supplied Iranian drones or weapons to Russia,” NHK quoted him as saying. “It is the supply of weapons by Europe and the US that leads to further destruction and carnage,” he added.
At the same time, the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry noted that Russia is ‘an important neighboring country’ for Iran. “We have cooperative relations with Russia in various fields, including trade, economy and tourism,” he stressed.
