Iran won't accept US demands to destroy new centrifuges

Iran will not accept the new demands of the United States and its European allies put forward during discussions on a return to the nuclear deal, Report informs citing TASS.

Iranian Press TV reports, citing sources, that the West demands from Tehran to destroy the recently commissioned new-generation centrifuges in exchange for a temporary suspension of some sanctions related to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear program.

Under the JCPOA, Iran should abandon the use of advanced centrifuges such as IR-4, IR-6, and IR-9 and keep them in storage under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), but not eliminate them.

According to the sources of the TV channel, if the West insists on its demands, Iran may refuse not only the talks in Vienna but generally the return to the JCPOA.
