Iran's secretary of Supreme National Security Council arrives in Moscow

Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, arrived in Russia on Tuesday to attend the meeting of senior security officials of BRICS member states, Report informs via Iran Press.

Ahmadian will attend the senior security officials summit of BRICS countries, including Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia, which will be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, from September 10 to 12.

He will meet with some of his counterparts from BRICS member states during this trip.

In a meeting with Russian security officials, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council will discuss the most important issues in international and bilateral relations in the political, security, and economic fields. It is also said that during these meetings the considerations of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding energy corridors will be discussed.

The Iranian and Russian officials will also discuss the short-range ballistic missiles issue that recently has surfaced in the media. Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York has dismissed Western media reports alleging that the Islamic Republic had transferred ballistic missiles to Russia for use in the Ukraine war.
