Iran's acting foreign minister: Tehran awaits trial of those responsible for Soleimani's assassination

In a recent interview with CNN, Iran's Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani has reaffirmed Tehran's commitment to seeking justice for the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani. The high-ranking Iranian military commander was killed in a US drone strike near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.

Kani stated, "The Americans have openly admitted to killing a high-ranking Iranian military commander. We will pursue legal and judicial procedures at both national and international levels to hold accountable those responsible and the military advisors who carried out (Soleimani's elimination)."

Kani emphasized, "Pursuing this matter is our natural right, and those accused in this case must face a fair trial."
