Iran-Iraq border quake death toll nears 400, injuries 6,650 - VIDEO - UPDATED 3

Baku. 13 November. REPORT.AZ/ A powerful magnitude-7.3 earthquake has rocked the northern border region between Iran and Iraq, killing 395 people in Iran and seven in Iraq and injuring 6,650.

Report informs referring to the Press TV, more than 70,000 people were in need of emergency shelter, the Iranian Red Crescent said.

Baku. 13 November. REPORT.AZ/ At least 339 people were killed in Iran and Iraq when a magnitude 7.3 earthquake jolted the region on Sunday.

Report informs referring to the The rescuers were searching for dozens trapped under rubble in the mountainous area.

According to the latest report, nearly 2500 persons were injuried. 

Local officials said the death toll would rise as search and rescue teams reached remote areas of Iran.

Baku. 13 November. REPORT.AZ/ A powerful 7.2-magnitude earthquake has hit the border region between Iran and Iraq, killing at least 211 people, almost all of them in Iran.

Report informs referring to the Press TV, at least 1700 people were injured. 

Legal Medical Organization of Kermanshah received 207 bodies until this morning.

Baku. 13 November. REPORT.AZ/ 164 people have been killed and nearly 1.600 injured in Iran and Iraq after a powerful 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the region.

Report informs citing the Agency France Press.

The quake occurred on Sunday at 21:5 local time (17:35 GMT) and its epicenter was registered at 34.86 degrees latitude and 45.81 degrees longitude, 11 km deep in the ground in Ozgoleh region in Kermanshah Province.

The earthquake rocked western provinces of Iran and vast areas in the east of Iraq. The city of Kermanshah has the most injured and dead people.

Supreme Leader also urged all military and civil forces to spare no effort in giving aid to quake-stricken people.
