Iran bans its carriers from illegal entry to Karabakh

Any entry into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan outside the official borders of this country shall be deemed as a violation of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, according to the letter of the director-general of Transit and International Transportation Affairs Bureau of Iran Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization (RMTO) Mohammad Javad Hedayati sent to the trade unions of international transport companies with reference to the directive of the Iranian Foreign Ministry dated October 9.

Report informs, citing Mehr, that in this letter, the Office prohibited entry to Karabakh and the Lachin region of the Republic of Azerbaijan through Armenia and the signing of any trade agreement with the Karabakh region and the issuance of shipping documents to transport companies.
