Iran has forbidden the export of medical equipment and supplies due to the situation in the country over coronavirus outbreak, said Head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) Hamid Zadboum.
According to him, the ban covers the export of many medical products, including masks, fabrics, and materials, as well as protective clothing.
The ban, which aims to ensure the local people’s access to these items will remain in force until it meets the needs of the domestic market, added the official.
Iran has 74,877 confirmed cases, 4,683 deaths as of April 14.
