Iran, Armenia explore building second bridge over Araz River

Iran and Armenia are continuing discussions on the technical aspects of constructing a second bridge over the Araz River, according to the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Report informs via Sputnik Armenia.

A working group was established in May 2024 to oversee the project.

The plan for the construction of the new bridge over the Araz River was made at the end of 2023. The current bridge was built in 1995.
