Investments in water resources of EaP countries to be discussed in Brussels

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the European Commission will jointly host the 11th roundtable on water financing in the EU Eastern Partnership countries, Report informs referring to the OECD website.

“The 11th Roundtable on Financing Water on the EU’s Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine – will discuss challenges and opportunities for financing water and consider opportunities to scale up water investments in EaP countries. The roundtable will focus on the EaP’s post-2020 agenda, including targets on improving water and air quality, ensuring environmental and climate resilience, and promoting fair and inclusive societies.

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the European Commission will convene the hybrid event, in partnership with the Government of the Netherlands, the World Water Council, and the World Bank. The meeting will bring together leaders and representatives from governments, particularly from the EU and EU member States, public and private investors, development banks, financial institutions, water utilities, and other stakeholders,” reads the message.
