The inauguration of Iran's new president Ibrahim Raisi started at the country's parliament on Thursday, Report informs, citing TASS.
The swearing-in ceremony is taking place in the presence of the heads of the legislative and judicial powers and high-ranking officials and military. Iran's state-run television airs the ceremony.
The inauguration involves nearly 115 representatives from more than 70 countries. Raisi won the July 18 elections by garnering 17.9 million votes (almost 62%) at the 48.8% turnout.
