Hundreds of healthcare workers go on strike in Iran

Hundreds of healthcare workers and nurses at Imam Khomeini Hospital in Ahvaz city of Iran's Khuzestan province have gone on strike to protest their unmet demands, Report informs via VoA News.

The protesters include nurses, surgical technicians, and service workers. The protesters gathered in front of the hospital and refused to work.

The medical facility's employees expressed their protests against issues such as improper management, inadequate wages, and benefits not being provided at the required level.

Similar protests have recently occurred at other hospitals affiliated with Ahvaz Medical University, including Golestan and Razi medical facilities.
