To date, 56 terrorists have been neutralized since the start of the Claw-Lock anti-terrorist operation, Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said while monitoring the operation on the border with Iraq, Report informs via TRT News.
The minister commemorated the martyrs:
“Their blood did not and will not remain on the ground. With the successful completion of our operation, we will close the border completely. It will not be possible for terrorists to enter our boundaries. Our work continues with respect for the territorial integrity of neighboring Iraq. Our target is terrorists. We are working to protect our country, our borders, and our security forces from terrorist attacks.”
He also noted that 991 terrorists had been neutralized since early 2022.
The Claw-Lock operation began on April 18.
