Helicopters deployed to extinguish fire in Georgia’s national park

Four helicopters have been deployed to extinguish the fire in Borjom-Kharagauli National Park, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Report informs.

An emergency headquarters has been established at the scene, and the area is being monitored by a drone.

The fires began in rocky areas with many dry trees, and the lower canopy of the forest is currently burning. At this stage, there is no danger of the fire spreading to inhabited areas.
