Heads of Central Asian states to ink 5 documents at Dushanbe meeting

Following the fifth consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia, which will take place on September 14-15 in Dushanbe, it is planned to sign a package of five documents, Report informs referring to the official newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan.

It is noted that a joint statement by the leaders of Central Asia, an agreement in the field of land transport, on the general directions of youth policy and a regulation on the council of national coordinators for consultative meetings will be approved.

In addition, the conclusion of a Roadmap to support the health and well-being of residents of the region for 2023-2025 is expected.

"On the sidelines of the forum, a meeting of foreign ministers will take place and more than ten parallel events are planned," the publication notes.

The summit will be chaired by the head of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.

The meeting participants will discuss the effectiveness of the implementation of current agreements, and will also sign new agreements, including in the transport sector.

"All this is intended to help strengthen the process of developing regional cooperation and further strengthening security and stability in the region," the article says.

The presidents of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan are expected to attend the meeting. A similar event was held in 2022 in Cholpon-Ata in Kyrgyzstan.
