Head of Georgian-Azerbaijani interparliamentary friendship group may become minister

Deputy Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Archil Talakvadze may be appointed Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs, Report informs.

Deputy Minister Tamar Gabunia said that consultations are underway on the appointment of the Vice Speaker to the post of Minister.

Commenting on the matter, Archil Talakvadze said that the decision on the appointment will be made by the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze resigned on December 9. She will serve as a minister until the end of this year.

Archil Talakvadze is also the head of the friendship group with Azerbaijan in the Georgian parliament.
