Head of European Parliament, Georgian PM mull European integration process

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze have discussed the process of the country’s European integration during negotiations in Brussels, Report informs referring to Georgian media.

Kobakhidze noted the importance of granting candidate status to Georgia, emphasizing that the new government under his leadership continues to work to achieve further progress towards the country’s accession to the European Union. He emphasized the role and support of the European Parliament in this matter.

The parties also discussed the issue of security and stability in the region and the world, as well as a number of current issues.
