Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has revealed the results of the meeting between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine, which took place in Istanbul, Report informs.
"Today was an important day for global peace. As a result of intense diplomatic efforts, the delegations of Russia and Ukraine held a meeting in Istanbul with the mediation of Türkiye. Following the meeting, they reached an agreement on an exchange of 1,000 for 1,000 people in order to strengthen trust. They also agreed to a written exchange of conditions that will allow a ceasefire to be reached. The parties also agreed to a new meeting. Türkiye will continue to make every effort to achieve lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine," the minister wrote on X.
