Current developments are putting the future of the region (where Türkiye is located) at risk, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated at the opening ceremony of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye, Report informs.
According to him, today, the heart of diplomacy beats in Antalya.
"The processes unfolding in the world are being discussed here. Every day we witness crises worldwide, and these affect global developments," the minister said.
The minister added that recent developments in the region are a clear example: "Ceasefire and peace must be sustainable."
Fidan also declared that diplomacy must be made functional again: "This way, it is possible to build a common future. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly expressed concern about international indecision. Now we see that some countries only voice concern when such problems reach their doorstep."
He stressed that the international community is facing important challenges on the path to peace.
