Grigol Liluashvili says anti-Georgian campaign held during Karabakh conflict

"Against the background of military operations in Karabakh, the interested parties have used all methods and means to make the war as harmful as possible for Georgia," said Grigol Liluashvili, head of the Georgian State Security Service (SSS), who addressed the Georgian parliament with an annual report, Report's local bureau informs.

According to him, the main challenge for Georgia in 2020 was the war between neighboring countries: "During the war, Georgia faced many risks, but we could prevent them successfully."

The chairman of the State Security Committee noted that an information campaign was conducted in two regions of Georgia populated by ethnic Armenians and Azerbaijanis to incite ethnic and religious hatred between them.

Liluashvili said his organization thwarted the provocations.
