Governor of Russia's Murmansk region stabbed after town hall meeting

The governor of Russia's Murmansk region, Andrey Chibis, was stabbed in the stomach after a meeting in Apatity, Report informs with reference to TASS.

The governor was hospitalized, and the attacker was detained.

It was noted that the incident occurred while leaving the cultural center after a meeting with city residents.

"Now the governor is in the operating room and he did not lose consciousness," it was added.
