Regional security must be guaranteed by the countries of the region themselves, said Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Parliament of Iran, Report informs.
Speaking at the 20th Session of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States in Baku, Ghalibaf emphasized that ensuring security through regional cooperation is the main goal of Iran's policy.
"No country can secure its own safety at the expense of undermining the security of others. The economy and development of the region must serve the well-being of all peoples," he added.
