Germany delivers Gepard anti-aircraft tanks to Ukraine

Germany delivered three "Gepard" self-propelled anti-aircraft tanks to Ukraine, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.

"This is only one part of the weapons that Germany wants to give us. In total, we need to buy 15 German Gepards.

He also noted that Ukraine's Ministry of Defense is negotiating with friendly countries to have modern tanks, including Leopard and Abrams, in its arsenal.

According to Reznikov, the Ukrainian military destroyed 50 Russian ammunition depots with the help of HIMARS missile systems purchased from the United States: "It cuts off Russia's supply chains and deprives them of the ability to conduct active combat operations and engage our Armed Forces in heavy artillery fire."

Earlier, the US officials stated they were not ready to provide Ukraine with missiles capable of hitting a distance of 300 kilometers. They said that such a step could lead to the Third World War.

Currently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine use missiles ranging up to 80 km to strike Russian positions.

The US has already given Ukraine 12 HIMARS missiles. The delivery of 4 more such missile systems is planned this week. The US and its allies have pledged to provide Ukraine with more than 20 such systems.
