A long-time critic of President Vladimir Putin, 44-year-old Alexei Navalny, was left "screaming in pain" during a flight to Moscow.
Navalny was on a flight from Siberia to Moscow early on Thursday morning when the plane had to make an emergency landing due to a sudden deterioration of his health, spokesperson, Kira Yarmysh tweeted. "Alexei has been poisoned, intoxicated," and "is now in intensive care."
He is in a coma and on a ventilator in the intensive care unit for toxicology patients in Emergency Hospital No 1 in the Siberian city of Omsk.
