Georgian speaker: Giorgi Gakharia preferred personal interests

"Today, we once again saw that Giorgi Gakharia gave preference to personal interests and convinced his friends to do the same," Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Archil Talakvadze, said, commenting on the resignation of six deputies from the ruling Georgian Dream Party.

Report informs that, according to him, when more consolidation and joint action was required, Gakharia left the team, and then his friends resigned from the parliamentary majority.

As for the competition with the former prime minister, the speaker said that it would depend on his future party, on who will be represented in his team, and the political platform to be selected.

Six deputies left the ruling party today. They announced that they would take an active part in building a new party together with Gakharia.
