Georgian Prime Minister mulls region's situation with Turkish Ambassador

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia met with Turkish Ambassador to Georgia Fatma Ceren Yazgan, local Bureau of Report states, citing the Georgian government's administration.

The sides discussed the strategic partnership between the two countries, the latest developments in the region, and the deepening of relations between the two strategic partners.

The meeting discussed cooperation in the fight against pandemics. Gakharia stressed the importance of the support of friendly and partner countries to cope with the pandemic.

The sides also touched upon political and economic cooperation between Georgia and Turkey, security and stability in the region.

The Prime Minister thanked the Turkish ambassador for her efforts to develop a strategic partnership between the two countries, noting that Georgia appreciates Turkey's strong support for its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
