Georgian President to visit Ukraine

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation, Report informs, citing the administration of the Georgian President, Report's local bureau informs.

Zourabichvili expressed concern over the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border and in Crimea and expressed solidarity with Ukraine. He noted that it is crucial to continue the Euro-Atlantic integration for the security of Ukraine and Georgia.

The heads of state stressed the importance of security in the Black Sea region and the need to present Georgia and Ukraine's common goals at the NATO-EU summit.

The parties agreed to discuss these issues during the Georgian President's upcoming visit to Ukraine.

Zurabishvili's visit to Ukraine was planned for 2019, then postponed to 2020, but has not taken place.
