Georgian politician accuses Western envoys of dividing society

Tamar Chiburdanidze, a member of the People's Power Party of Georgia, has accused foreign ambassadors (the US, Latvia, Germany and the UK) of double standards and dividing Georgian society, Report inform via Imedi News.

She stated that while the ambassadors' visit to the clinic to see the filming crew of Georgian Pirveli TV was commendable, it would have been fair and diplomatic to also visit the filming crews of other television channels at another clinic.

Chiburdanidze emphasized that it is clear who the key players in the current processes in Georgia are.

She claimed that the foreign ambassadors' goal is solely to support the opposition, and they no longer hide this intention.

"Dividing journalists on political grounds is anti-diplomacy. The ambassadors stood at the barricades of the revolution," Chiburdanidze added.
