Georgian media report 13 'swine flu' victims

Baku. 9 January. REPORT.AZ/ 13 people have died from swine flu (A flu virus subtype - H1N1) in Georgia over the past month, Report informs citing Rustavi broadcasting company.

"All major hospitals of the country have announced quarantine due to the spread of the H1N1 virus. Medical facilities work in an enhanced mode... by preliminary information, 162 cases of H1N1 virus infection have been confirmed laboratorially, 13 citizens died, 10 lethal cases were confirmed laboratorially," the TV channel said.

Mass media and social networks undate information about new victims of virus on a daily basis. At the same time, the head of the Georgian National Control on Control of Diseases under the Ministry of Health, Amiran Gamkrelidze told reporters on Tuesday that 'only 10 lethal cases of flu infection, including of H1N1, have been confirmed laboratorially."
