Georgian, Kazakh presidents discuss Middle Corridor development

In Astana, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili met with Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to discuss the expansion of bilateral relations and deepening cooperation across various fields, Report informs, citing the Georgian Presidential Administration.

The two leaders underscored the importance of strengthening ties and highlighted the potential for expanding the Middle Corridor.

Kavelashvili, in turn, noted that the route holds significant opportunities and stressed the need for joint efforts to accelerate its development.

Both sides also underlined that the long-standing friendship between Georgia and Kazakhstan makes the signing of a strategic partnership document a necessary step forward.

Kavelashvili is visiting Kazakhstan to attend the Regional Ecological Summit (RES2026) being held in Astana.
