Georgian Foreign Minister: We are ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the peace process

Georgia is closely following the developments in the region.

Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani told in an interview with Imedi TV, local Bureau of Report says.

According to the Minister, reaching an agreement with Russia and Turkey's participation was the choice of Azerbaijan and Armenia: "It was essential for the parties to put an end to military operations in a short time. Georgia has clearly expressed its position in this regard. I hope that this peace agreement will allow the parties to create sustainable peace in the region."

Zalkaliani noted that Georgia's proposal on its role in the peace process remains in force: "We are ready to continue cooperation in this direction with both our strategic partner Azerbaijan and our closest friend and neighbor Armenia."
