Georgian Dream rep: Georgia interested in peace, shouldn't allow influence of external forces

Georgia is only interested in peace and shouldn't allow the influence of external or opposition forces, former mayor of the Bolnisi district of Georgia, MP candidate, representative of the Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia party from Bolnisi, Dmanisi, Tetritskaro (Agbulag) and Chalka, David Sherazadashvili, told Report.

According to Sherazadashvili, the Georgian Dream has implemented many projects over the past 12 years to improve the social welfare of the population and expects to win the elections on October 26.

Sherazadashvili also noted that Georgia cannot recognize LGBT and other similar elements, as they contradict traditional Georgian family values.

"We have our own moral and national mental values. Despite pressure and persecution from the European Union, the US, and other forces, the Georgian people, who honor these values, will oppose it," he said.

The candidate for deputy also emphasized that Georgia pursues a policy of good neighborliness and maintains close friendly relations with all countries in the region.

"With Azerbaijan, we are strategic partners. Our relationship is an example for other countries. We must protect peace in the region together," he said.
