Georgia, one of the key links of the Middle Corridor, is interested in expanding cooperation with the Western Balkans region.
Report informs that Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili said this during a one-on-one meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
According to him, this could make an additional contribution to the development of transport and logistics links between Europe and Asia.
During the meeting, the leaders also touched upon regional and global processes and emphasized the importance of preserving peace, security and stability. They noted that amid changes in the system of international relations, ensuring stability in both the South Caucasus and the Western Balkans is of particular importance.
Kavelashvili said Tbilisi would continue its policy aimed at ensuring long-term stability in the South Caucasus and strengthening mutual trust between neighboring countries.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic began his visit to Georgia on June 15. The visit will end on June 17.
