Georgia eyes restoring tourist flow from Azerbaijan to pre-pandemic level

There are enough opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan, Georgian deputy PM, Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani said, the Georgian bureau of Report informs.

The foreign minister stressed that certain problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have hampered bilateral economic cooperation: "However, both Georgia and Azerbaijan are ready to deepen this cooperation and increase the volume of trade between the two countries."

Zalkaliani noted that there are a number of opportunities for cooperation in the field of tourism: "Before the pandemic, the tourist flow from Azerbaijan to Georgia was at a record level. We want to maintain and increase this level."
