Georgia deports 54 foreign nationals

In recent days, Georgia's Migration Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), together with other relevant divisions of the ministry, has deported 54 foreign nationals from the country.

According to Report's Georgia bureau, citing the MIA, the deported individuals include citizens of Türkiye, Turkmenistan, Russia, India, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt, the Philippines, and other countries.

It was noted that, in accordance with current legislation, those deported have been banned from re‑entering Georgia. The ministry emphasized that combating illegal migration remains one of its key priorities.

Official statistics show that since the beginning of this year, a total of 2,090 illegal migrants have been deported from Georgia. Of these, 232 were deported in January, 312 in February, 360 in March, 401 in April, 340 in May, and 391 in June.
