General Staff: Russia does not back down from its goal to capture Kyiv 

"Despite the loss of many lives, Russia is still trying to take control of Kyiv," the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces wrote on its Facebook page, Report informs, citing UNIAN.

According to information, the Russian military has regrouped and are trying to attack in the Chernihiv-Kyiv direction.

"Despite numerous casualties and a slowdown in attacks in various directions, the enemy is not backing down from its main goal to take control of Kyiv. The capital's defense forces are resisting the enemy," the statement said.
